Albano is just one of the 14 historic towns in the area, a geographical area of volcanic nature, originating from the collapse of the Laziale Volcano a few hundred thousand years ago, evidenced by the numerous craters and the wonderful volcanic lakes, Lake Albano and Lake Nemi.
